Structured certification levels develop skilled watercraft specialists committed to safety and professionalism.
Level I: Watercraft Operations Specialist
Complete essential classroom instruction and hands-on, on-the-water training to earn your Boater Education Certificate (commonly known as a Boating License). Develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to operate a vessel safely and independently. All Watercraft Operations Specialists must achieve Level 1 Certification before conducting solo boating operations with Nebraska Boating Company watercraft. Learn the right way from the very beginning.
Level II: Senior Watercraft Operations Specialist
Advance your skills through leadership development and hands-on management training after logging 100 hours of operational experience on local waterways. As a Level II Senior Watercraft Operations Specialist, you’ll take on greater responsibility, mentor newer team members, uphold Nebraska Boating Company’s safety culture, and help lead daily operations. With increased experience comes increased responsibility, leadership opportunities, and higher compensation.
Level III: Lead Operations Specialist
Lead Nebraska Boating Company operations through advanced leadership certification, instructor development, and operational management training. Level III Lead Watercraft Operations Specialists must have a minimum of 250 logged hours operating on local waterways and are responsible for training new team members, conducting safety audits, maintaining operational standards, and leading daily operations. As trusted leaders, they serve on the Operations Management Board, are eligible for performance-based bonuses, and are authorized to represent Nebraska Boating Company as Managing Members in public, professional, and government settings.
